About us

We are Japanese Kaiseki restaurant located in Tenryu, Hamamatsu city in Shizuoka where is central of Japan. Customers can enjoy "Tenryu Kaiseki-zen" using local Tenryu ingredients and techniques inherited from the former head chef who trained in Kyoto.

Behind our restaurant, there are the ruins of Futamata Castle, where two famous Japanese warlords, Ieyasu Tokugawa and Shingen Takeda, fought. It is also famous as the place where Ieyasu Tokugawa's eldest son, Nobuyasu Matsudaira Saburo, tragically committed seppuku.

Our restaurant is one-story building in the traditional Japanese Sukiya-zukuri style. The roof is made of copper roofing, the same material used for national treasures such as Nikko Toshogu Shrine, Osaka Castle, and Nagoya Castle.

Garden Photo

One of the major attractions of us is its karesansui (dry land-scape) garden with a borrowed view of the ruins of Futama-ta Castle.

The garden is designed to surround the restaurant, so you can dine while viewing atmospheric Japanese garden from every room.

At night, the illuminated garden looks different face from the daytime.
